Actor Prakash Raj has dismissed reports claiming that he has been removed from Spirit, the upcoming action drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Prabhas. The clarification comes in the wake of rumours on social media that the actor is no longer a part of the film after a fallout between him and the director.

Responding to such reports, Prakash Raj issued a clarification on X, saying: “To all the toxic #Fakenews peddlers On #Spirit the movie. We have not even started shooting for my scenes and you WhatsApp factories speculate stories. Grow up and have a life,” adding a series of laughing emojis.

Earlier, industry reports had suggested that Prakash Raj had exited the project due to creative disagreements with the director over the script and a particular scene. Some sources also claimed that his behaviour on set had not gone down well with the makers, leading to his alleged removal. However, there had been no official confirmation from the film’s team regarding such claims.

Spirit has been in the spotlight since its announcement, with Prabhas set to play an intense police officer in the film. The project also stars Triptii Dimri as the female lead, marking her second collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga after Animal. Vivek Oberoi is reportedly playing the main antagonist.

Earlier, Deepika Padukone was said to have exited the project due to scheduling issues, after which Triptii Dimri came on board. The film, one of the most anticipated upcoming projects in Indian cinema, is currently slated for a March 2027 theatrical release.
