Border 2 box office Day 17: Sunny Deol's 2nd Rs 300 crore film after Gadar 2
Sunny Deol created a new record as Border 2 finished its third weekend run at the box office in India. The film has become the second Rs 300 crore grosser for Sunny, and first for Varun Dhawan.

Sunny Deol made history for himself as Border 2 wrapped up its third weekend at the box office. The war drama has become the second Rs 300 crore grosser for the actor after the blockbuster performance of Gadar 2 (2023). The Anurag Singh directorial collected Rs 6.90 crore nett on its third Sunday, taking the 17-day total to Rs 309.4 crore nett in India.
Border 2 is also the first film on Varun Dhawan's resume to have crossed the benchmark of Rs 300 crore domestically. The film also features Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in important roles.

- Week 2: Rs 70.15 crore
- Friday: Rs 2.85 crore
- Saturday: Rs 5.25 crore

While the collections showed a dip in its second week, it didn't get affected much by the new releases, including Mardaani 3. Border 2 collected around Rs 15 crore nett in its third weekend alone -- which is a decent number for any big-budget Hindi film.
Meanwhile, a report in Pinkvilla has suggested that Deol is now gearing up for his next action film after Border 2. He has reportedly teamed up with Kill director Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt for a fresh project, and the shooting of the same is likely to begin in the second half of the year.
Deol is also preparing for Ramayana: Part I. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial features him as Lord Hanuman, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. The film is set for a grand Diwali release this year.
