Ayushmann Khurrana cheers Vadh 2: Hearing great things about the film

Ayushmann Khurrana gave a shoutout to Vadh 2 as the Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra starrer released in theatres on Friday, adding to the positive buzz around the sequel. Sharing a poster of the film on his Instagram story, he wrote, “Hearing great things about the film. Congratulations and best of luck to the entire team!"

The film has been receiving strong support from the industry, with many actors praising the performances and the hard work that went into the much-anticipated sequel. Though Ayushmann is yet to watch the movie, his message reflects the growing excitement surrounding the project.

Earlier, Mrunal Thakur also applauded the film, expressing admiration for Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra’s performances. Calling them “fantastic,” the actor praised the entire cast for their efforts and the film’s overall impact.

Alongside Gupta and Mishra, Vadh 2 features an ensemble cast including Kumud Mishra, Shilpa Shukla, and newcomers Amitt K Singh, Akshay Dogra, and Yogita Bihani.

The film had its international premiere at India’s 56th International Film Festival (IFFI) on November 23, 2025, before hitting theatres on February 6. Reports suggest that Netflix has acquired the film’s post-theatrical digital streaming rights.

Written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films, Vadh 2 is a spiritual sequel to the critically acclaimed Vadh, which was widely praised for its gripping story, moral complexity, and powerful performances.
