According to a report by Variety Indian, Konkona was keen on casting a fresh pairing and found the right combination in Aditi and Barun - both popular faces in the romance genre with strong individual fan bases, and notably, actors who have not shared screen space before. The casting has further fuelled anticipation around the show, which was already generating buzz as Konkona’s first web series as director.

While plot details are being kept tightly under wraps, the series is described as a contemporary romantic comedy set in South Delhi. Shooting has reportedly begun, with the show expected to premiere sometime in late 2026 or early 2027.

Konkona Sen Sharma was last seen acting in Rohan Sippy’s crime thriller series Search: The Naina Murder Case. She returns to direction after three years, following her critically acclaimed debut A Death in the Gunj (2017) and her segment in Netflix’s Lust Stories 2 (2023).

On the work front, Aditi Rao Hydari was recently seen in Zee Studios’ silent film Gandhi Talks, alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Arvind Swami. She will next appear with her husband Siddharth in Netflix’s Lust Stories 3, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Her upcoming slate also includes Imtiaz Ali’s romantic series O Saathi Re and Varun V Sharma’s Parivarik Manoranjan.

Meanwhile, Barun Sobti will next be seen in Kohrra Season 2, which is set to release on February 12. The actor is set to star opposite Hasleen Kaur in Hardik Mehta’s series Ikatthe. He is also set to return for Season 3 of Asur, which is expected to go on floors in mid-2026.
