Mumbai teacher's idea of giving gifts to students during PTM leads to 3 big gains
Supreet, a teacher at a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Mumbai, posted a heartwarming video explaining how a small change in approach created a big impact in his classroom.

A Mumbai-based school teacher has shared a video saying that his idea of giving gifts to students during parent-teacher meetings (PTM) has led to a noticeable improvement in their academic performance.
Supreet, a teacher at a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Mumbai, posted the video explaining how a small change in approach created a big impact in his classroom.
“This one thing changed my students’ performance. When I started giving gifts during PTMs, I didn’t know the results would be so loud,” Supreet said in the caption of the post, explaining three big gains - academic improvement, student excitement and parent trust.
In the video’s voiceover, Supreet addressed a common question he often faces about why gifts are needed during PTMs. He said that while many people were sceptical of the idea, the initiative led to visible changes. Students’ academic results improved compared to the previous year, and their overall enthusiasm towards studies increased significantly is what Supreet claimed in the video.
He also said that the gesture helped motivate children beyond exams, instilling a sense of encouragement and momentum in their learning journey. “Sometimes, small gestures create big shifts,” he said, describing the initiative as one of the most rewarding experiences of his teaching career.
The video shows Supreet packing small gift bundles containing stationery items and handing them out to students.
