Adorable girls freak out as smoke machine fills stage at Maharashtra dance event
Two little girls at a Maharashtra pre-school Annual Day dance got scared due to the sudden smoke machine release, and a video of the incident went viral on social media.

An adorable moment from a school’s Annual Day function in Maharashtra left social media users clutching their hearts after witnessing the innocent reactions of two little girls to a stage smoke machine.
The now-viral video was shared by popular X account Ghar Ke Kalesh, with the caption: “Young Girls' Dance Interrupted after the stage smoke scares them mid-performance.”
In the video, the two young girls can be seen performing a slow dance on stage during the Annual Day celebration at Success Wings Pre-school in Solapur, seemingly calm and focused, when a smoke machine suddenly releases a thick cloud of smoke across the performance area.
However, what follows next is nothing less than a chain reaction.
The girl dancing on the right is the first to notice the smoke. Startled and visibly frightened, she panics and runs off the stage without a second thought. Her partner, initially unaware of what’s happening, continues dancing for a few moments, confused by the sudden disappearance.
However, the moment she notices the smoke herself, her composure crumbles. Overwhelmed, she bursts into tears and runs straight into her parents’ arms, bringing the performance to an abrupt end.

The raw, unscripted reactions led social media users to flood the comments section with love. Several users pointed out how the second child’s fear seemed to be triggered not just by the smoke, but by seeing her partner panic first.
One user wrote, “The second girl was unbothered or unaware at least about the whole thing, but only the reaction of her partner made her panic. Tells a lot about how we humans function.”
Another user defended the children, writing, “It’s not her fault smoke was not in rehearsals!”
While the moment caused brief chaos on stage, most social media users viewed the incident with empathy rather than criticism, and spammed heart emojis over the adorable nature of the video.
