INDIA Bloc

The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), comprises 26 political parties, including major ones like the Congress, Trinamool Congress (TMC), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Janata Dal-United (JD-U), and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), among others.

These parties came together as part of an effort challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The INDIA alliance aims to present an alternative narrative to the BJP's policies, focusing on issues such as rising prices, unemployment, and what they perceive as the BJP's assault on the character of the country.

One of the challenges the alliance faces is the diversity of its member parties, many of which are regional rivals with distinct ideologies and political ambitions.

The BJP has criticised the alliance, labeling its members as opportunists and corrupt. Prime Minister Modi has portrayed the alliance as negative and divisive, emphasising the BJP's efforts to unite the people of India.
