Christopher Luxon

Christopher Luxon is the 42nd Prime Minister of New Zealand. Luxon served as the Chief Executive Officer of Air New Zealand before entering politics. He is a member of the National Party, which came to power following its victory in the October 2023 general elections.


Luxon's priority as the New Zealand Prime Minister is to improve the country's economy. He has pledged to control inflation, reduce interest rates, and lower the cost of living. Additionally, his government has promised tax cuts, reductions in public services, and the addition of 500 new officers to the police force.


In March 2025, Christopher Luxon visited India for a five-day official tour.
