Anand Mahindra

Anand Mahindra is an Indian billionaire businessman and the chairman of the Mumbai-based Mahindra Group. He is renowned for his business acumen, visionary leadership, and impactful presence on social media.


The Mahindra Group spans diverse sectors such as aerospace, agribusiness, automotive, construction equipment, defence, energy, finance, IT, hospitality, real estate, and retail.


The grandson of Mahindra & Mahindra co-founder Jagdish Chandra Mahindra, Anand Mahindra has an estimated net worth of $1.9 billion.


Born on May 1, 1955, in Bombay to industrialist Harish Mahindra and Indira Mahindra, Anand has two sisters, Anuja Sharma and Radhika Nath.


After completing his education at Lawrence School, Lovedale, Anand pursued film production and architecture at Harvard University, he earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1981.


Anand is married to Anuradha, a former journalist, and they have two daughters, Divya and Aalika.


In January 2020, Anand Mahindra received the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award.

Rahul Aripaka, co-founder of Harvested Robotics, details his 'Make in India' story of developing an AI-powered laser weeding machine named 'Rakshak' for Indian farmers.
