Yash’s next cinematic outing is already rewriting trade records, months before its release. Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has secured a massive Rs 120 crore deal for its Andhra Pradesh and Telangana theatrical distribution, making it the biggest acquisition to date for a non-Telugu origin film in the two states.

The rights have been acquired by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC) after a competitive bidding process involving three major contenders. The final figure underlines the scale of expectations riding on the film and the actor’s formidable box office pull in the Telugu-speaking markets.

Trade analysts see the deal as a strong vote of confidence in Toxic’s content, ambition and commercial prospects. With interest pouring in from multiple territories and top distributors, the film has emerged as one of the most anticipated Indian releases of the year. The excitement is particularly pronounced in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where Yash enjoys immense popularity following the blockbuster success of KGF Chapter 2.

Speaking about the acquisition, Dil Raju said, “Yash stands as a formidable titan of Indian cinema, and post KGF 2, his market has only grown stronger across the world. The anticipation for his next film has been building steadily, and after a four-year wait, expectations are sky-high. We at SVC are thrilled to present this prestigious project and look forward to collaborating with Yash on many more films in the future.”

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Mohandas, Toxic has been filmed in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and other languages, reflecting its pan-Indian—and global—ambitions.

The film boasts an impressive technical team, with National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music by Ravi Basrur, editing by Ujwal Kulkarni and production design by TP Abid. Action sequences have been choreographed by Hollywood stunt director JJ Perry, alongside Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026. The film will hit screens during the festive window of Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa, positioning it as one of the biggest theatrical events on India’s 2026 cinema calendar.
