Dhurandhar's Ayesha Khan calls Nora Fatehi, Tamannaah incredible amid comparisons
Ayesha Khan has reacted to comparisons with Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia, saying she respects their work and would never measure herself against them.
Actor Ayesha Khan has responded to social media comparisons with Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia following the attention she received for her dance number Shararat in Dhurandhar. The actor said she prefers to focus on learning and growing in the industry rather than being measured against more established performers.
In a chat with Pinkvilla, Ayesha reacted to social media users comparing her to stars like Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia. She said she doesn’t see the point of such comparisons and instead looks up to them with admiration. “I have seen people who compare me with others. I’ve seen some reels of me being compared to Nora Fatehi or Tamannaah Bhatia. I feel like I would never compare myself to them. I’m always in awe whenever I look at them. Such wonderful women doing such great things in life. I could never do what Nora is doing; she is incredible."
Ayesha also spoke about Nora’s stage presence and energy, saying she deeply admires the intensity the dancer brings to her performances.
Making her stance clear, the actor said comparisons neither excite nor motivate her. “If anyone thinks comparison makes me happy, it will never do that. I look at everyone with so much respect because I am new to the industry. I’m still in the learning phase, so much I am yet to learn. These are the people who have seen so much in their lives."
Talking about Tamannaah Bhatia, Ayesha had nothing but praise. She highlighted Tamannaah’s long career and influence across film industries. “Tamannaah Bhatia has been working since forever. What makes you think that I would ever want to compare myself or my journey with hers? She is an incredible woman doing so much for herself. As a woman, when I saw Aaj Ki Raat, I was like ‘Wow, what is this’," she said.
Meanwhile, Ayesha also cleared the air about rumours of issues with her Shararat co-star Krystal D’Souza. She dismissed any speculation of tension, adding that they share a warm bond and remain in touch.
