Actor Arjun Kapoor remembered his late mother Mona Shourie Kapoor on her death anniversary. He shared an emotional note on social media, while admitting that life has been "cruel" to him lately.

Arjun's Instagram post read, "Happy birthday Maa, I miss u so much today (heartbreak emoticon) Life’s been kinda cruel to me lately but it’s ok I’ve taken the punches before I’ll take em again & still rise Because u taught me how to fight by standing up facing life head on while being graceful & dignified thru it all...We will ride it out together U & I (red heart emoticon) I’ll see u again soon & we will celebrate ur bday together someday Your loving son. Arjun. (sic)."

While reacting to the post, director Siddharth Anand wrote, "Biggest hug my brother...(sic)." Arjun's uncle – actor Sanjay Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Zoya Akhtar, Jacqueline Fernandez and others commented with heart emojis. An Instagram user captioned, "Happy Birthday to your mom. I am a stranger but just know that I stand by you. Sending good vibes your way...(sic)."

Another user commented, "You are a gem of person . I still remember meeting you in Jw Marriott. The way you hosted me shows how grounded you are . You were having chat with me as if you are really interested in me my life . You made me feel the important person in the room while it was quite the opposite. Whatever people say , just remember you are a nice person...(sic)."

Arjun was last seen in Mudassar Aziz's romance-comedy Mere Husband Ki Biwi. The film featured actors Rakul Preet Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Harsh Gujral and others in crucial roles.
