Ayushmann Khurrana-Sara Ali Khan's Pati Patni Aur Woh Do gets new release date
Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's Pati Patni Aur Woh Do has been postponed and will now release in theatres on May 15, 2026, instead of Holi.

The much-awaited comedy-drama Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi, has been postponed from its earlier Holi release and will now arrive in theatres on May 15, 2026. The makers announced the new date, giving the team more time to complete post-production and shoot a pending song.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the new release date of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do on X. “AYUSHMANN KHURRANA – SARA ALI KHAN – WAMIQA GABBI – RAKUL PREET SINGH: ‘PATI PATNI AUR WOH DO’ GETS A NEW RELEASE DATE Welcome to the world of #PrajapatiPandey #AyushmannKhuranna, #SaraAliKhan, #WamiqaGabbi, and #RakulPreetSingh team up for #PatiPatniAurWohDo. Directed by #MudassarAziz, the film will now hit cinemas on 15 May 2026. Produced by #BhushanKumar and #RenuRaviChopra, with #JunoChopra as the creative producer," read the post.
According to a recent report by Bollywood Hungama, the film could not meet its original March 4 release date because post-production work is still underway and a song is yet to be filmed. The makers reportedly chose not to rush the process, instead focusing on delivering a polished and entertaining final product for audiences.
The sequel marks director Mudassar Aziz’s return to the franchise after the 2019 hit that starred Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. With a fresh cast and a promise of even more outrageous comic situations, the upcoming instalment is expected to bring a new twist to the beloved story.
In October last year, the makers unveiled the first poster, introducing Ayushmann as Prajapati Pandey and teasing a world packed with love, laughter and inevitable marital confusion.
