Rajasthan Assembly Speaker CP Joshi on Monday withdrew the petition challenging the state high court’s “interference” in the disqualification proceedings against sacked Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and 18 rebel Congress MLAs. The top court was to hear Speaker Joshi’s plea at 11 am today. Senior advocate and Congress veteran Kapil Sibal, who was representing the Speaker, told the top court that the HC has passed a fresh order on July 24, which has raised multiple issues including interpretation of the 10th Schedule and "we have to weigh our legal options on what to do next".
