Armed, masked mob vandalises JNU hostels

Fresh violence erupted at the Jawarharlal Nehru University on Sunday. A group of masked men wielding sticks and rods barged into several hostels injuring as many as 26 students and teachers in the premises. The university's students' union, JNUSU, has claimed that some "masked" persons entered the JNU's Sabarmati and other hostels and thrashed the students with sticks and rods on Sunday. It alleged that the attack was orchestrated by the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
