For the matriculation exams, a total of 4,23,821 students are registered. Meanwhile, the intermediate exams will see 3,24,321 students appearing across different streams.
Among them, 90,579 candidates belong to the science stream, 21,195 candidates are in commerce, and 2,12,557 students will appear for arts subjects.
EXAM CENTRES AND SCHEDULE
The JAC has set up 1,232 centres across the state for matriculation exams. Intermediate examinations will be conducted at 757 exam centres.
Students and staff have been instructed to strictly follow the examination schedule, which will continue uninterrupted till February 23.
Exams are being conducted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the JAC. These guidelines are intended to ensure a smooth and fair conduct of the board examinations while minimising any malpractices.
SECURITY AND MONITORING MEASURES
To maintain discipline and prevent disruptions, prohibitory orders have been issued within a 200-metre radius around all exam centres.
Magistrates have also been deployed to keep a vigil and monitor the conduct of examinations. Their presence aims to ensure a secure environment for both students and staff throughout the examination period.
Authorities have emphasised that all students must adhere to the prescribed rules at exam centres. Any violation of guidelines or misbehaviour will be strictly dealt with under applicable regulations.
The JAC has also urged parents and guardians to ensure students reach centres on time and avoid any overcrowding at the gates.
With the examinations now underway, students across Jharkhand are focused on completing their papers successfully.
The combination of strict SOPs, well-planned centres, and deployed officials is aimed at providing a secure and fair testing environment for over seven lakh young candidates.
