Mumbai teen takes dad's car for night joyride, crashes into scooter
A 17-year-old boy allegedly driving his father's car at high speed hit a scooter in Mumbai, leaving a couple critically injured. Police have booked the car owner for allowing a minor without a licence to drive and are investigating the case.

A 17-year-old boy in Mumbai allegedly driving his father’s car at high speed rammed into a scooter carrying a couple, leaving both critically injured.
The incident took place near Somaiya College around 11:15 pm. The scooter riders have been identified as Dhrumil Patel (33) and his wife Meenal Patel (32).
According to the complaint filed by the injured's uncle, Mahesh Karamsi Patel, Dhrumil and Meenal were returning home on their scooter after closing their shop in Parel when a Kia Seltos car coming from the opposite direction, hit them. The impact of the collision was so severe that both victims suffered multiple fractures across their bodies.
Police investigation revealed that the car was being driven by a minor. It further emerged that the car owner, Valji Raja Bhushan, allowed his son to drive despite knowing that he did not possess a driving licence. Based on this, police have registered a case against the car owner under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The injured couple were first rushed to Rajawadi Hospital. Due to the seriousness of their condition, they were later shifted to Zynova Shalby Hospital for advanced treatment. Doctors have reported that Dhrumil sustained a serious head injury along with fractured ribs, while Meenal’s condition also remains critical.
The Tilak Nagar Police have registered a case under Sections 281, 125, 125(a) and 125(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, and are continuing further investigation.
