Video: Indonesia volcano erupts, spewing fiery red lava and lightning

Indonesia's Mount Ruang volcano, situated in a remote area, erupted multiple times on Tuesday, prompting authorities to declare the highest level of alert.

Thousands of residents were ordered to evacuate due to the risk of a tsunami resulting from debris cascading into the sea.

The country's volcanology agency emphasised that the danger posed by the volcano persisted, following a series of eruptions earlier in the month that led to the evacuation of over 6,000 individuals.
