Russia's invasion of Ukraine: Has Putin lost the plot?

The Russian invasion of Ukraine entered its seventh day today, with fighting intensifying in Kharkiv and in other cities. Russian rockets pounded government buildings and military academy in Kharkiv. Even a school in Kharkiv was hit by a shell.

Russian strike in Kharkiv also killed four people and wounded several, the state emergency service of Ukraine said. It added that residential buildings were also hit.

Meanwhile, Russia's airborne forces have also landed around Kharkiv as it braces for a massive assault by the Russian ground troops.

So, has Putin lost the plot? Does Putin have no regard for civilian lives? Is Putin the villain of the Ukraine War?
