Covid-19: Singapore announces lockdown; European countries grapple with surge in cases

Singapore on Friday announced that schools and most workplaces in-country will remain closed for a month as part of stricter measures to curb a recent jump in coronavirus infections. Meanwhile, Italy had the most deaths due to Covid-19 infection, more than 13,900, followed by Spain.
