US President-elect Donald Trump arrived in Washington with his family, supporters, and political allies ahead of his inauguration as the 47th President on Monday. According to Reuters, Trump will host a reception for around 500 guests followed by a fireworks display on Saturday evening.
The swearing-in ceremony is set to take place inside the US Capitol rather than outdoors due to a forecast of "dangerous" cold weather in the capital. The guest list includes outgoing President Joe Biden, former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, Vice President Kamala Harris, Chinaâs Vice President Han Zheng, as well as prominent business leaders such as Appleâs Tim Cook, Amazonâs Jeff Bezos, Metaâs Mark Zuckerberg, and Teslaâs Elon Musk amongst others. Indiaâs External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will also attend the event.Â
