Nagaland crisis: Women reservation vs custom or deliberate political play?

The crisis in Nagaland is still continuing with the protesters not backing away and the state government not yielding any ground either. The turmoil that was trigered by the state government's decision to hold ULB elections with 33 per cent reservation for women candidate is refusing to down.

The Joint Coordination Committee has decided to intensify the ongoing bandh for an indefinite period from Monday since Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang refused to step down as demanded.
