Former India cricketers Mohammad Azharuddin and Aakash Chopra heaped rich praise on India's bowling attack after they shot out West Indies for 143 to clinch a 125-run win in their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match on Thursday.
India vaulted to the 2nd spot on the points table with 11 points from 6 matches and have gone a step closer to the semi-final. India next face England on June 30 in Birmingham.
"Today, the beauty of our team was once again the bowlers. In fact, in the last two matches the batsmen didn't do well but the bowlers took responsibility and won us the games," Azharuddin told India Today.
"We have a very good all-round side. Today's performance goes on to show that we are the best side in the world."
Aakash Chopra added: "It was a clinical effort. I am saying this, this Indian team... their strength lies with their bowlers."
