Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajeev Shukla has said the fate of Steve Smith and David Warner will be decided only after International Cricket Council's (ICC) decision.
Smith, the Rajasthan Royals skipper, has stepped down as Australia's captain for the remainder of the third Test between South Africa and Australia following a ball-tampering controversy that rocked the entire cricketing fraternity.
David Warner has also stood down from his position as vice-captain. Wicketkeeper Tim Paine has been handed over the reins for the remaining two days of the match. Warner is the captain of the 2016 champions Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.
