Mohammed Shami's wife Hasin Jahan: 'He abused me, had multiple illicit affairs'

Mohammed Shami's wife Hasin Jahan accused the India cricket star of torturing her and having multiple illicit affairs.

Shami, India's strike bowler in Test cricket, was playing the Deodhar Trophy in Dharamsala up until Tuesday. On the tour of South Africa, he played a starring role in India's historic victory in Johannesburg with a five-wicket haul.

"I was silent because he has been asking for a divorce for two years. He has been torturing me and he has tried everything to chase me away from our home," she told India Today.

She also alleged bad behaviour by Shami's folks everytime she went to their family home in Uttar Pradesh: "You can ask the neighbours how they behaved with me," she said.

However, Shami has denied these allegations and said this was all a conspiracy to defame him.
