Snooping vs security debate: Is govt playing Big Brother?

The proceedings in Parliament were disrupted for 8th consecutive day Friday over a variety of issues, including the latest snooping row, the Rafale jet deal and Cauvery dam.

A major controversy broke out with government authorising ten central agencies to monitor and intercept all computers.

Strongly defending its action, the government hit back at the Congress saying the order was a mere repetition of a notification issued in
2009 during the UPA rule.
