The Burning Question: Farmers 'Maha' protest

Over 30,000 farmers have reached Mumbai at dawn today to gherao Maharashtra Assembly. A crucial meeting is scheduled to be held at 9 AM where the farmers will put forward their demands. The meeting is expected to conclude by 12 PM.

The farmers decided to march overnight to reach Mumbai's Azad Maidan early today to avoid any inconvenience to the children sitting for their exam today. The farmers plan to gherao the Maharashtra Assembly today.

United under the banner of All India Kisan Sabha, the farmers seek complete waiver of loans and power dues. The farmers also demand the implementation of MS Swaminathan Committee that assured a Minimum Support Price (MSP) to the farmers.
