Ex-Cong leader demands Bharat Ratna for Atiq Ahmed; Nadda's remark 'Vote BJP for Modi's blessing' sparks stir; more

Congress suspended party leader Rajkumar Singh ‘Rajju’ for six years on Wednesday after he laid the Tricolour on gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed’s grave in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. In a viral video, Rajju can be heard calling Atiq Ahmed a "martyr" and demanding a Bharat Ratna for the gangster-politician who was shot dead recently. After the video went viral, Rajju was expelled from the party for six years. The Prayagraj Congress Committee issued a letter to notify this.

Amid the battle between the ruling BJP and the Congress in poll-bound Karnataka, there’s a new flashpoint in the fight between the two parties. And this time, it’s BJP chief JP Nadda’s remark which has invited criticism from several Congress leaders. The Congress has shared a portion of the video clip on its official Twitter handle to hit out at the BJP. In the video, Nadda can be heard saying, “I appeal to you to vote for the lotus symbol and take forward development so that Karnataka is not devoid of Modi ji's blessings.”
