Bangladesh cricket team's near-death experience with Christchurch shooting

Bangladesh cricket team narrowly escaped unhurt in the Christchurch mosque shooting as they were about to reach the mosque for the prayers when they heard the gunshots.

Bangladesh cricket team's Twitter handle later tweeted, "All members of the Bangladesh Cricket Team in Christchurch, New Zealand are safely back in the hotel following the incident of shooting in the city. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is in constant contact with the players and team management."

A gunman killed 49 people and wounded more than 20 during Friday prayers at two New Zealand mosques in the country's worst-ever mass shooting, which Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern condemned as terrorism.
