A massive political faceoff has erupted over Congress leader Salman Khurshid' s new book 'Sunrise Over Ayodhya'. In the book, Salman Khurshid reportedly compared Hindutva with radical jihadist groups like ISIS and Boko Haram.
The BJP has accused Congress of playing communal politics. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said Salman Khurshid's book on Ayodhya hurts religious sentiments of people. Bhatia took a dig at Congress president Sonia Gandhi and questioned her silence on the issue: "If you remain silent, then it will be clear that your ideology is also against Hindus."
Meanwhile, a Delhi-based lawyer has filed a complaint with the Delhi Police seeking registration of an FIR against Salman Khurshid on the matter.
