Mayawati snaps bandhan with Akhilesh: End of the road for caste politics?

The Uttar Pradesh mahagathbandhan is history. Mayawati has buried it in less than two weeks since Lok Sabha election results were declared. Now, both BSP and SP will contest the upcoming UP bypolls alone.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, "Looking at how the situation in the state is right now, it will be better for us to contest the upcoming by-elections on our own."
