Ready to face inquiry, Kavitha named in Delhi liquor case; Gujarat votes for first phase of Assembly polls

After being named by the ED in Delhi liquor case, BRS MLC K Kavitha said she is ready to face any kind of inquiry. Citing statements by an arrested businessman Amit Arora, the ED claimed Kavitha was a key member of the 'South Group' which paid at least Rs 100 crore in kickbacks to leaders of Delhi's ruling party AAP via another arrested businessman Vijay Nair.

Gujarat votes for the first phase of the Assembly elections. The 89 seats spread across 19 districts in Saurashtra-Kutch and southern parts of the state. The voting began at 8 am and will go on till 5 pm.
