The Haryana government will bring in a bill against religious conversions through force or fraudulent means and another one to recover damages to public and private properties from rioters and protesters in the state in the upcoming budget session of the Assembly, state Home Minister Anil Vij said on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the US and the UN welcomed the joint statement of India and Pakistan to strictly observe all agreements on ceasefire along the Line of Control and other sectors. In a big development, the Defence Ministry said on Thursday that India and Pakistan armies have agreed to cease firing along the Line of Control (LoC) from midnight of February 24-25.
