Maha CM slams BJP over free Covid vaccine promise in Bihar; uproar over Punjab rape, murder escalates; more

Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has slammed the BJP over its free coronavirus vaccine promise to Bihar ahead of the state assembly polls. Attacking BJP for its poll promise in Bihar, Thackeray said, “You [NDA] are going to give free Covid-19 vaccine in Bihar, then are we [people of Maharashtra] living in Bangladesh or Pakistan?” Meanwhile, members of the Dalit community are likely to stage an agitation in Punjab over the rape, and murder of a six-year-old girl. The half-burnt body of the girl, who was allegedly set on fire, was found at a home in Tanda’s Jalalpur village. The accused — Gurpreet Singh and his grandfather Surjit Singh — were arrested, however, their police custody ends today. Watch First Up for more.
