Congress tweet hints out at CM face for Punjab polls; AAP to announce its Punjab CM candidate today; more

The Congress on Monday tweeted a 36-second video implying that Charanjit Singh Channi could be the party's candidate for chief minister post in the upcoming Punjab Assembly polls. The video features actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood' saying that people want a CM "from humble origins." The Congress captioned the video clip in Hindi, "Punjab is saying we will empower one and all with our stamp."

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will announce the AAP's CM face for the Punjab polls on Tuesday. Bhagwant Mann is reportedly one of the frontrunners for the post.
