Political debacle: President's rule imposed in Maharashtra

Soon after Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari recommended President’s rule, President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday signed a proclamation imposing President's rule in the politically-unstable state.

The development came as no party staked claim to form government days after the conclusion of assembly polls in the state.

While the Shiv Sena approached the Supreme Court on Tuesday claiming that the Governor declined to give a deadline to the party to prove that it has enough numbers to form a government. For more, watch this episode of 5ive Live.
