Will India Make Marijuana Legal?

The Sushant Singh Rajput death case has opened a can of worms and the latest is the drug angle on the pretext of which Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). This has given rise to several questions like should cannabis, marijuana, weed and hashish be legalised in India? Out of all these drugs, marijuana is the most commonly used illegal drug in the world with an estimated 125 million people consuming it in some form or the other every year. In India, the use of marijuana use has been linked to faith and theology. India has consumed and celebrated charas (hash), bhang and weed for centuries.
