The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a money laundering case in the Sandalwood drug scandal case. The federal agency will summon relevant documents from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru, which is probing the drug menace in the Kannada film industry. Film actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani along with two more persons are already in police custody. A court on September 7, had extended police custody of Kannada film actress who was arrested under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act for another 5 days. The Central Crime Branch which is probing the drug abuse in the Kannada film industry, on September 8 had arrested actress Sanjjanaa Galrani.
