Rakshita: DRDO Develops a Bike Ambulance For CRPF

This is a bike ambulance named 'Rakshita', Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), a DRDO laboratory, developed this special ambulance for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). 21 such bike ambulances were inducted into the CRPF. Rakshita is built on a Royal Enfield Classic 350CC. It is fitted with a customized reclining casualty evacuation seat. Its major features include, head immobilizer, safety harness jacket, hand and foot straps for safety, auto warning system for driver and LCD to monitor the vitals. It is also equipped with air splint & an oxygen kit.
