Hundreds of birds have already died due to the H5N1 Avian Influenza and authorities have warned of possible transmission from birds to humans.
Over the past two weeks, thousands of birds in Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Gujarat were found dead, marking the entry of the highly pathogenic avian influenza into India yet again.
