The Supreme Court on Monday listed the hijab ban case for an urgent hearing and said that the court will constitute the three-judge bench for the case. The development comes after a batch of petitions challenged the Karnataka High Court judgment for refusing to lift the ban on hijab in educational institutions of the state. Senior advocate Meenakshi Arora mentioned an interim application seeking permission for the girls who have not been able to attend classes to sit for exams.
