UP CM assesses preparation of PM Modi's visit to Varanasi; Smriti Irani attends last rites of close aide, more

UP CM Yogi Adityanath reached Varanasi on Sunday to review the preparation for the grand welcome of PM Narendra Modi visit to his Lok Sabha constituency. This is Modi's first visit to the city after his party's win in the Lok Sabha polls.

In other reports, BJP's Smriti Irani on Sunday attended the last rites of his close aide Surendra Singh after he was shot by bike-borne assailants outside his house. Smriti Irani also carried his mortal remains on her shoulder.
