FM Arun Jaitley's interview after presenting Budget 2018

Arun Jaitley as the finance minister presented his fifth consecutive Union Budget today. Jaitley expressed hope that the GDP growth rate for the fiscal year 2018-19 would be 7.2-7.5 per cent.

Jaitley did not announce any change in the personal income tax rates keeping it the same as announced in Union Budget 2017-18. However, he gave some relief to salaried class by reintroducing standard deduction on salary of upto Rs 40,000.
