UK PM Rishi Sunak arrives in New Delhi for G20 Summit

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived in India to attend the G20 Summit on Friday. He was accompanied by his wife and businesswoman Akshata Murthy. The couple was welcomed by Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey at the Palam airport in New Delhi.

In an interview earlier, Sunak had told The Guardian that he is looking forward to a “special” trip to Delhi, where he believes he will be welcomed as “India’s son-in-law”. This is Sunak’s first visit to India after he assumed charge as the Prime Minister.
