Two new poll commissioners picked; PM's mission South | Election Unlocked

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led high-level committee picked former bureaucrats Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu as the Election Commissioners, the leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury informed the media on Thursday. 

Meanwhile, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), under the leadership of the Prime Minister, is focusing on strengthening its foothold in South India for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
