Tight security in Sambhal for last Friday prayers before Eid

Security has been intensified in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, ahead of the last Friday prayers before Eid. Police conducted a late-night flag march, deploying CCTVs, rapid action forces, and drones. The heightened security measures come in the wake of tensions since November 24 last year when violence erupted during a survey of the Mughal-era Jama Masjid, resulting in four deaths.
