Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay under house arrest, party workers protest on street

Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar has been placed under house arrest with heavy police deployment outside his Karimnagar residence, hours after he was detained while proceeding to Nirmal district for his Praja Sangrama Yatra on Sunday night.

Bandi Sanjay was detained and brought back to Karimnagar after police denied permission for the fifth phase of his yatra and a public meeting in Bhainsa town of Nirmal district, citing the "communally sensitive situation".
