National Commission for Scheduled Tribes Chairman Nand Kumar Sai suggested the government to make Sanskrit Indiaâs official language, as many Indian languages originate from it. He backed his argument by saying that the southern states would not object to it, unlike Hindi.
His statement came after Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief MK Stalin opposed the three-language formula that imposed Hindi as a mandatory third language in schools across the country.
