'Congress doesn't believe in this': Party on Revanth Reddy's 'DNA' remark on KCR

Congress spokesperson Charan Singh Sapra defended his party and said that it doesn't believe in the remarks made by Telangana CM-elect Revanth Reddy, who had said K Chandrashekar Rao's "DNA is from Bihar", and from Telangana.

"I feel if he (Revanth Reddy) has given such a statement, he is the best person to clarify it. But the Congress largely doesn't believe in all this. We don't believe in a divisive agenda, but the divisive agenda is always of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)," the Congress spokesperson said.

To this, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and said, "A party and a leader that is constantly harping on the Bharat Jodo Yatra, here you have the CM-designate of Telangana, who is calling the Kurmis of Bihar inferior."

"What is Revanth Reddy's DNA? He was arrested in 2015 after he was caught offering bribes to a legislator. I want to ask Congress, it this a qualification to be corrupt in Congress to get anywhere in life?" Malviya further remarked.
