Decision on relaxation of Covid curbs for Onam to be taken by committee, says Kerala health minister

Kerala health minister Veena George on Sunday said that a decision on possible relaxations of Covid curbs in the state for Onam festival in August will be taken collectively by the Covid committee headed by the chief minister.

She said that the state will have to be cautious, given the way the Delta variant is spreading.

Kerala has been reporting more than 20,000 fresh cases every day for the last few days.
